| Moving home is considered to be one of the most stressful times we can face. In order to help we have prepared a checklist which outlines the majority of tasks you will need to carry out to ensure a smooth move. |

- Book removal firm (2 weeks in advance)
- Make sure you have enough boxes for packing
- Arrange for professional disconnection of any gas appliances (7 days notice)
- Arrange for final readings of all meters; gas, electric, water
- Arrange for your final telephone bill to be sent
- Cancel any standing orders / direct debits that are specific to your old property
- Cancel / settle any accounts you may have for newspapers / milk etc
- Defrost fridge / freezer
- Arrange to have mail redirected with the post office to ensure sensitive items don't end up in the wrong hands.
- Check all your items are insured whilst in transit
