| There are 4 main types of protection to choose from when considering life assurance. All however do not have any cash in value at anytime and if one policy is taken out in joint names, the policy will pay out on the first / second death or critical illness being diagnosed, depending on how the policy has been set up. |

| Level Term Life Assurance |
 |
| With level term life assurance, you will choose a specific amount of cover you require and the term you would like it to run for. The assured amount will remain constant throughout the term of your policy. |

| If you die within the policy term, the insurer will payout the amount of cover you initially chose at the outset. |

| Decreasing Term / Mortgage Protection Life Assurance |
 |
| Mortgage protection life assurance is similar to the above. You will choose a specific amount of cover and term. The amount of cover will be reduced every month and calculated to reflect the payments on your repayment mortgage and the outstanding capital. |

| If you die within the policy term, the insurer will pay the amount of cover due under the policy at the time. |

| Level Term Life Assurance with Critical Illness Cover |

| Level term life assurance with critical illness cover pays out on death or if you are diagnosed with an earlier critical illness within the policies term. |

| The types of illnesses covered include some forms of Cancer, Heart Attacks and Strokes, (the full list covered depends on the insurer chosen and is illustrated in their individual key features document available on request). |
